Good News…

“There’s nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with chocolate!” ~Linda Grayson
I ran across some good news today that I thought I’d share with you… It’s National Chocolate Week!
Chocolate actually releases endorphines in the brain that boost our moods (now, that means that once the effects wear off, they’ll go back down). There are even claims out there that eating chocolate (especially dark chocolate) will reduce stress, make you live longer, and could even reduce your chances of having a heart attack.
So eat up my friends! And if you must, use the guise of, “But it’s National Chocolate Week!”

“The most protean aspect of comedy is its potentiality for transcending itself, for responding to the conditions of tragedy by laughing in the darkness.” ~Harry Levin
In the mood for some clean, Christian comedy but can’t seem to find it? Boy do we have the solution to that problem!
Join The Salvation Army as we partner with IUPUI to put on “Comics That Care” on Monday, March 9th! We’ll be at Morty’s Comedy Joint (3625 E. 96th St.) at 8pm with the comedic stylings of Mike Polites, Marquest Bunn, Mel Fine, and the headliner – Troy Davis.
Tickets are available through IUPUI’s campus, or by visiting www.mortyscomedy.com. General Public tickets are $10 and IUPUI students, faculty and staff are $8 with proceeds going to The Salvation Army’s “Homelessness Bites” program.
