“The grand Essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.” ~Allan K. Chalmers
I found the following in a blog written by Ray Mitchell, one of the many wonderful Salvation Army volunteers. Sometimes we all need to remember what hope is and sometimes we all need to be reminded that even if we can’t see it in ourselves, it’s still there. Read more

“When people you greatly admire appear to be thinking great thoughts, they probably are thinking about lunch.” ~Unknown
On Friday, March 27th, The Salvation Army has a need for 40 volunteers to help serve lunch at the annual Older Adult Spring Luncheon! This luncheon takes place at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and older adults from around the state attend each year.
If you’re interested in more information, send me an email or give me a call at (317) 224-1010.

Another National Day…

“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.” ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Today is National Clean Out Your Computer Day. You know, after taking a moment to ponder that and it’s relevancy to life these days… it’s pretty good advice. I had a computer crash on me not so long ago and it’s not a fun feeling to realize that you just lost contact information, important papers, personal thoughts and even the way you like having your computer set up! Sometimes these crashes happen because the computer gets old and other times, it will be because there’s just too much going on in there and the poor computer finds itself to be frazzled. Do it a favor – clean it up today.
I spend a lot of time liking to know what special day it is (since every day in the calendar year has at least one idea associated with it) but not a lot of time actually acting on those ideas. I think this is one I can really get behind.
