“Trust in what you love, continue to do it, and it will take you where you need to go.” ~Natalie Goldberg

A lot has been going on around here lately! Thank you to all of you who have volunteered your efforts to help at Apple Fest, The Colts Coat Collection, Coats for Kids Set-Up and Distribution! Here’s what your efforts have created:

During the week of October 6th-10th, well over 8,000 coats were sorted and set-up to distribute.

On October 11th, 4,380 children received both winter coats and lightweight jackets.

4,380 children.

Photos of Coats for Kids can be seen by clicking here!

We couldn’t do it without your help. Toy Shop is coming up and we need donations to keep the magic of Christmas alive in the hearts of local youth. Be on the lookout for more information about what we need and where you can drop off donations.

For your help thus far in the season, Thank You. For the help you will give this season, Thank You.

Apple Fest!!!

“When the apple is ripe, it will fall.” ~Irish proverb

Looking for something fun and cheap to do at lunch time tomorrow? Wanting to enjoy eating outside before it gets too cold?

Check out Apple Fest! We’ll be down on Monument Circle on Thursday, October 2nd from 10:30am – 1:30pm serving up Applebees food and apple cobbler a la mode! For just 3 dollars you can try new menu items from Applebees (two mini grilled burgers or chicken) along with a flavored lemonade, and for $3 more you can get a large helping of apple cobbler. $6 for a complete meal!

Enjoy your food outside while you listen to music from a live band and revel in the fact that you just helped to support The Salvation Army’s efforts to end homelessness in Indianapolis!

Check out more about Apple Fest by visiting www.HomelessnessBites.org and I’ll see you on the Circle tomorrow!
